Wow, another year has flown by, faster than ever. We had a great 2011 staying healthy and happy. We got the chance to visit with lots of family and although we didn't get out camping as much as we wanted, life is good.

Our Christmas was very quiet, even by our standards. Daughter-in-law Mel was working on Christmas Day so she and Mark came over on the 24th. We did the tree thing and had a huge dinner. The 8 of us (4 people and 4 dogs) had a great time and the kids went home with lots of leftovers. Now that Mel has finished school and has her BScN degree, she will work more Christmas Days than she get off just like Tess did during her career. Spouses of nurses get used to it.

Until last week we had been enjoying a very mild winter. There's no snow to speak of and we could still see our lawn well into January which is unusual. Last week somebody realized how easy we have had it and turned the temperature down. Way down. Air temps got to -33C (-27F) with the windchill making it feel as cold as -50C (-58F). That's obviously too cold for the dogs to go out except for a very quick potty break. Even so, we bundle them up with sweaters and booties. As I write this things are back to average conditions with highs a few degrees below freezing and overnight lows near -18C (0F). I haven't had to use my new snow blower since November so it looks like it was an excellent investment.

While Tess stays close to home to look after the dogs, unless she decides to head to the mall, I am still working part time driving hotshot service in a pickup truck. Check out the details on the work page where you can see photos of some of the animals and machinery I have seen.

Trade show season is in full swing and last weekend I went to the motorcycle show. Three halls filled with bikes, leather, and chrome. And more than a few babes, too. I sat on the new Gold Wing which is very comfy but I don't like the new styling, especially from the rear. Don' like the $30,000 price tag either. The new BMW touring bike is too small and the Victory is too big. My Gold Wing is just right so I'll keep it for the foreseeable future.

The RV show will be here in a few weeks and we plan to see it this year since we missed it last year and we have a new RV to shop for this year.

The web site looks a little different this year. I am using new software called Serif WebPlus. Since it is a trial (test drive) version, it will only let me create 5 pages which is why I have dropped off some stuff. If I decide I like this new program, I’ll add more stuff for next month’s update. Please let me know what you think of the new look.

That's it for this month. Remember Valentines Day is only a couple of weeks off so get your sweetie something nice.

Spud & Camper

Hello and welcome to the latest version of  www.bobog.org - Greg and Tess Harrison's family web site. We hope you'll check back every month or so to see what's new with us. If you don't know us and arrived here by accident, welcome anyway. You might find something interesting on the Genealogy, Software or Links pages.

Bobog is a Filipino (Tagalog) word that means little crumbs, like dry bits of toast or the stuff a pencil eraser leaves behind.

Underlined words are hyperlinks that will take you someplace relevant and external sites should open in a new tab or window (unless you have a pop-up blocker installed). Pictures are small so pages will load quickly. You can see a big version of most pictures by clicking on it.

Is your last name Nartatez? If so, please email me; I am working on Tess' family tree and need your help!
